Protest countermeasures
    #5547001 - 04/23/06 10:16 AM (17 years, 9 months ago)

Not one single frijole.

On May 1st. All illegal immigrants have decide to unite and protest laws not only in a country which is not theirs, but also in one theyve come illegally to.

One damn single frijole day, its an opportunity for Americans and legal residents thereof, to take charge again and counterattack by not rehiring one single illegal immigrant. Not only will this teach all illegal immigrants regardless of race and color who this country really belongs to, but also teach them a lesson in humility that they do not dictate how this country is ruled or managed. By taking advantage of Not One Single Frijole day, it will provide a plethora of jobs to all lower class Americans and legal citizens thereof thus raising all living standards and ridding the streets of homeless and veterans who have fought for this country's freedom.

Spread this message around to your friends family and bosses where any single illegal may be found.

Screw that dude I feel for this people. If I'm going to protest I'm going to protest the real hurt to America: George Bush and all his fuck-ups.

Why do you feel for these people? Why don't they make their own country livable?

Somebody's catching on.
"While conservatives argue for closing the southern border and enforcing the law to deport illegal immigrants, our opposition argues for a supposedly more humane approach of either completely open borders or the granting of amnesty to the twelve million who have already come to the US. That argument wins on the basis of understandable sympathy for poor people who want to escape crushing poverty in their native land, primarily Mexico; it makes the conservative argument sound heartless and cruel.

But is it really? An e-mail I received this evening from Eusebia Flores at Artcamp Artesanas Campesinas in Guerrero, Mexico argues the exact opposite -- that the lure of American dollars literally subsidizes the abandonment of Mexico and families by the men who could otherwise have helped transform the destitute Mexican economy"

The illegals aren't the problem. The people hiring them IS. They just want to work hard and make money to have a better life.

Immigrants are victims of their society/government. Basically they are pawns being held down by those in control.

As long as there are jobs for them in the US, they will come. You can build a wall or whatever, but they are still going to come. Employers in the US are calling for them and they need work.

Long term, you have to both create am environment for growth in Mexico's economy AND deal with US employers who hire illegals. That is, if you actually want to fix the problem...

OK, I can agree with that on some level...

Not on the level that "DICK" is, acting like we need to punish the illegals for wanting to do work that nobody WANTS to do and getting paid JACK SHIT to do it.

But, on the level where citizens are responsible for their actions and when your country is in trouble, instead of trying to escape, you should be fixing it. I guess poor uneducated people don't think they have the power to change anything...

I said the same thing when the cops arrested me for robbing a bank... "but I want to make money to have a better life."

I have no problem with LEGAL immigrant works... it is the ILLEGAL ones that annoy me. If we got rid of all the illegal aliens, we would have a lot more room to hire legal immigrants.

My above argument matches this as well. By ignoring the illegals coming into the country, there is less room for legal immigrants, thus the illegals are doing harm to the 'collective'.

An illegal alien is no different than somebody that cuts in line at the supermarket because they are in a hurry.

That is not entirely true. They are doing work that Americans want to do, construction for example, and they are being paid above minimum wage but below the standard wages of construction workers. They are artificially keeping the wages down for legal working Americans. That is something to be pissed off about.

I think they should be punished just because they knowingly entered this country illegally.

You cant compare people who work picking oranges all day for $2 an hour to a bank robber  The problem with LEGAL immigration is MINIMUM WAGE LAWS. Employers don't want to pay minimum wage, they want illegals to work very hard for almost nothing. It is the employers causing this.

There isn't any legal way to immigrate from Europe to US. Ok, there is a visa lottery but it's just 20000 people and Euorpe has a population of over 700million...

Sure I can. Both are taking money from others so that they can have a better life while ignoring the hardship they are causing others. Sure, the magnitude may be different, but the "direction of the vector" is still the same.

> Ok, there is a visa lottery but it's just 20000 people and Euorpe has a population of over 700million...

Again, if there were not so many illegal aliens, there would be a whole lot more room for legal ones. The illegals are simply screwing over the people that are trying to do the right thing.

> It is the employers causing this.

You cannot blame just the employers, it is the entire system. However, I agree that employers are a big part of the problem and should see jail time for hiring illegals.

LOL. I said "Your" as in America. "America is saying to them..."

I don't see any point to talking about something thats obviously wrong if you don't want to talk about the root of the problem or how to solve it.

Yeah, of course illegal immigration is causing problems... anyone can see that...
