if a cake has like a speck of green on the outside and the inside is perfect can you just cut of the green part and use the rest, also if the cake is perfect on the outside but when break it in half there is a speck on the inside do ya have to toss it too? ALSO* my cakes are dry on the top (near the lid) should i throw away that part and how do i keep them moist? i use brf and verm, should i put wet sterile verm on top instead of just regular dry non sterile verm when i do my jars?

Take no chances chuck it. Is your life worth a cake.

With that said I have heard that people have succesfully rescued a cake from green mold by ambutating it.

If its dry dunk it.
