Amanita muscaria is different from the psilocybin containing mushrooms, as it doesn't have any psilocin or psilocybin in it. The experience seems to be only liked by a select few. People commonly seem to have bad experiences with amanitas. Also there are other poisonous and deadly mushrooms in the same genus. It's not recommended for beginners to mess with the Amanita genus. I've heard reports from users which described the muscaria effects as more of a "poisoned" sort of feeling than a "high". I never consume any Amanitas personally, but I think they make great photo subjects.

If it is an amanita muscaria it has to be cooked a special way to cause a chemical reaction in it or something

becareful with consuming amanita species. i saw a group of people try them and it was not good. they seemed to be more sick then intoxicated. some species of amanita cause severe liver and kidney damage or death.

No. There are actually several edible species in the genus Amanita.
Unfortunately, there are also several deadly species in the genus. Amanitas cause more fatalities than all other mushrooms combined.
People who think they know how to identify their finds make a mistake, and they get poisoned. Often their entire families are poisoned. With modern medicine, people who promptly seek medical attention usually survive. Even with the best medical care, some do not.
Unless you can be absolutely 100% certain of what Amanita you're identifying (and you should be able to tell somebody else exactly how you know), you should not eat any Amanita (unless a real expert identified it - there aren't many people I'd trust my life to, and that's exactly what you're doing with Amanitas).
The chemical reaction mentioned with the cooking is heat induced transformation of Ibotenic Acid to Muscimole. Muscimole apparently causes fewer unpleasant side effects than Ibotenic Acid. There are also lots of other alkaloids in A. muscaria, most of which have not had much pharmacological research done on them. Some of the other alkaloids are probably responsible for some of the unpleasant effects.
Also, different specimens of A. muscaria have different levels and types of alkaloids in them. That makes the overall picture even more complicated.
Happy mushrooming!
