Deserts of Traun III: the Lilac Moon
    #5544390 - 04/22/06 03:04 PM (17 years, 9 months ago)

By one of the most phenomenal drummers ever: Dave Murray.

http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/desertsoftraun

that is a link to listen to a sample of the CD, which is the first work - working backwards to Deserts of Traun I.

Not only did he compose and play most of the instruments on here, he has always envisioned a movie about a detective which has finally come to pass. The movie already has a trailer and it is fucking amazing, especially to anyone who has spent the last few years listening to it making our own story about a detective.

awesome album, awesome musician. some might even go as far as to say it's better than his work with estradasphere!

glad to see someone else into this guy, hopefully more will see the light.

wow, someone knew he was in estradasphere.

the first time I ever saw Dave murray play, I instantly bought his CD, even though I had yet to hear it.
I asked him to sign it, and he asked "why? if you have never heard it?", and I said, "I can tell by the way you played that this album will easily be worth the 10 dollars I paid for it".

... i think i have to plan a US trip to catch all the bands that will never come here

edit: not on topic, but you may be the only one who will know it. have you heard  Faun Fables - The Family Album ? Nils Frykdahl from Sleepytime Gorilla Museum/Idiot Flesh joins Faun for this album, it has a very magical, pagan-folk feel. i've fallen in love with it
