field stop producing?

I have had a heavy hitting field for a year or two and the past two the place has produced nada shroom wise. Can anyone tell me if they have had the same experience? Did they change the feed or spread a chemical to stop shroom growth? What makes a great field just stop producing shrooms? Thanks

Thanks for the reply. I am in Houston and went southwest today and nothing. Checked two places. Don't think much rain made it southwest. Thought about heading north but with gas at $3 don't feel like treking into the unknown.

I had the same problem. I had a wonderful field that I picked at least 25lbs over 1 season, the next year, nothing. I was hoping that it would come back, and then someone stole all the cows. I live in H-town also. I am looking for a new field, but I have not found one yet. It may just be the conditions for the last 2 seasons. It has been dry last spring and this spring.

My field was badass last year but last year we never cut the shrooms we just ripped them out. Then I found out that it was bad to do that so we tryed to start cuting them but all my friends are lazy and are memory is like shot so we never bring a knife or scissor. So could my field just completly stop growing cause we don't cut them as much as we should?

I agree about the weather. As soon as I get into mushrooms the rain stops. The past two years have been so dry. Funny how I notice this stuff now that I am waiting for the shrooms to grow. Anyone found any lately? I only look southwest of houston off of 59. Have seen some posts from people in the past of areas around huntsville or brenham. I am going to wait until I see some shrooms growing around town before I venture to the country again.
