So yeah, you might say this is the wrong place to come but I went to a computer help forum and the told me every thing I already did. So here it is:
When I try to install java on to my computer I always get the same error messages. I've tried with IE and Firefox to no avail. I dont know WTF is wrong but here are all the messages.

Well the hole story behind this was that my hard drive burnt out so my dad had another one put in. That's when the problem started to happen. All I know is that Java applets wont work in any browser and Java is no where on the new hard drive. Is there a chance that it's saved on the motherboard (if I'm an idiot and motherboards cant "save" information then somewhere similar that didn't get replaced) so it wont reinstall but it's in a place the browser program cant access it.

go to your control panel, then to "add/remove programs" uninstall anything "java" and/or "J2SE Runtime environment..etc"
then go here http://java.com/en/download/manual.jsp download the executable installation file to your desktop. install it, then go here to verify if its been installed correctly. http://java.com/en/download/installed.jsp

the auto installer from the site? Yes I do, I forgot I had an entire folder of different ways to install java on my computer. I have the downloader/installer, a zip file with java in it, the uninstalled java program, and an unzipped java folder I copied from my freinds computer....none of it works eather.

if i was in your situation, i would type "regedit" (registry editor) in the run box (start button / run...) & remove java entries in the registry.
i would suggest you back up your registry before doing so, as well as learning how to restore your registry from that backup in case you fuck up.
you can find how to backup & restore in the registry editor help files.
good luck'

don't do that please.
verify first that the service named "Cryptographic Services" is running
to get that, Start -> Run -> mmc -> File -> Add/Remove snapin -> Add -> Services -> Add -> Finish -> Close -> OK
Now you're looking at system services check for the crypto service, make sure it's running and set to automatic.

No luck in the console thing, and I really don't want to edit my register, I really don't want to fuck the hole computer over.
So I looked in the registry, didn't change anything, but I found some java stuff. That's about it though, I'm not a computer programmer and that program edits binary.....that's too in depth for me.

Download the offline installer. Save it to your computer somewhere, don't open it. Close your web browser, then run the installer. I'm not sure exactly what all it prompts you for but it should be pretty self-explanatory. It will ask which browsers to install for, so be sure to select Mozilla/Firefox.
If that doesn't work you might need to upgrade your Windows Installer. But I doubt it, I think the version that comes with XP is enough.
Hope this helps,

I DLed the windows installer and it didnt work. And I have every form of java on my computer that I can think of, but none of it is/can be installed. I have a zip file containing all the files and folders that an instaled java should have, I have a Java folder that is the unziped form of said zip file, and I have both the online and offline instalation programs. Having all this and this error message has led me to belive that the browser is looking in the wrong place for java.
After clearing my consol log and retrying the java download thease are all the errors I get:

And these are all the lines that are causing the error in order of the above image:
background-color:#fff;layer-background-color:#fff;} background-color:#fff;layer-background-color:#fff;} .subnavitems {background-color:#fff;layer-background-color:#fff;background-image: url(/im/nav/bg_sidenav_menu.jpg);} .subnavitems2 {background-color:#fff;layer-background-color:#fff;background-image: url(/im/nav/bg_sidenav_menu_139x700.jpg);} .subnavspacer {background-color:#CCCCB8;layer-background-color:#CCCCB8;background-image: url(/im/nav/bg_sidenav_spacer.gif)} span.termhighlight{background-color:#FF9;layer-background-color:#FF9} td.tooltabon{background-color:#666;layer-background-color:#666;vertical-align:bottom} .flashLoading {position:absolute; left:0; top:100; z-index:9; width:100%; text-align:center; visibility: visible;} background-color:#fff;layer-background-color:#fff;} background-color:#fff;layer-background-color:#fff;} .subnavitems {background-color:#fff;layer-background-color:#fff;background-image: url(/im/nav/bg_sidenav_menu.jpg);} .subnavitems2 {background-color:#fff;layer-background-color:#fff;background-image: url(/im/nav/bg_sidenav_menu_139x700.jpg);} .subnavspacer {background-color:#CCCCB8;layer-background-color:#CCCCB8;background-image: url(/im/nav/bg_sidenav_spacer.gif)} span.termhighlight{background-color:#FF9;layer-background-color:#FF9} td.tooltabon{background-color:#666;layer-background-color:#666;vertical-align:bottom} background-color:#fff;layer-background-color:#fff;} background-color:#fff;layer-background-color:#fff;} .subnavitems {background-color:#fff;layer-background-color:#fff;background-image: url(/im/nav/bg_sidenav_menu.jpg);} .subnavitems2 {background-color:#fff;layer-background-color:#fff;background-image: url(/im/nav/bg_sidenav_menu_139x700.jpg);} .subnavspacer {background-color:#CCCCB8;layer-background-color:#CCCCB8;background-image: url(/im/nav/bg_sidenav_spacer.gif)} span.termhighlight{background-color:#FF9;layer-background-color:#FF9} td.tooltabon{background-color:#666;layer-background-color:#666;vertical-align:bottom}
I dont know what all this means, but hopefully it helps...something.

Those are just CSS errors. They're very common in the Firefox console since a lot of times non-standard tags are required to maintain IE compatibility. They have nothing to do with Java. And all this talk about a "zip file containing all the files and folders that an installed java should have" scares the shit out of me. You need to get the installer working you can't just dump it on your system.

I had the problem before the files existed, I got them as a probable solution, but it didn't work so their gone now. It sucks because no java applets work online, and, as you probably know, java applets are more than just chat rooms.
