Any dual sport riders?
    #5541259 - 04/21/06 02:40 PM (17 years, 9 months ago)

Looking to get a dual sport and transform it into a commuter bike (sprockets/street tires/jet + exhaust). Love the single cylinder thumpers, tons of torque and power. I've pretty much gotten it down to 3 bikes: KLR650 / DR650SE / XR650L

Steering more towards the XR650L because I like Honda quality, although the Kawa/Suz are pretty decent. Anyone own any of these bikes?

If your turning a 5k duel purpose into a street bike..why not just get a street bike. ..

But, any rider of any cycle gets a passing wave by me.

edit: I need a dirt bike :[

I've owned a lot of street bikes, and have just gotten tired of the inline-4's and street bikes in general.  They take too long to hit the powerband, and you gotta rev the daylights out of them.  There's nothing like riding a big bore single cylinder, power right from the go in any gear--it's a hoot.  They wheelie incredibly easy, it's a great hooligan bike.

Nice bike Fresh13
