i am growing some golden teacher in a myco bag its cased and it's producing mushrooms but they are only about 2-3g wet, and half the casing has overlay and most of the mushrooms grow from the side of the bag. i was wondering if i turn the casing upside down and remove it from the bag, leaving it in the humidity tent, just leaving it cased on bottom not on top should this help in the long run. or will it just go tits up and ruin every thing!

It would help if you could plst some pics so we can be sure its overlayed. If it is, the best thing is to scratch and recase.

never heard of casing inside of a mycobag and its pinning on the sides because its a clear bag putting casing material on only covers 1/6 of the surface area

Did you open the bag after colonization to case? You might have lost a good deal of moisture if so. I remember reading one of MJ's posts with a mycobag where he only got one (huge) flush off a bag because all the humidity was lost when he took pictures.

my digi cam is on loan to a friend at the mo, so i'll have pic's soon. there is no light at the sides except a small thin slither, because i have covered the bottom part and sides of the myco bag in tinfoil. i did open the top to case and then removed the top when birthed but i cant see that, leading to that much water loss and i do add a small quantity of water every now and then, but i dont want to drown it and perlite is the humidification source. as it seems to fruit ok from the uncased parts of the bag i thought exposing them to the light might help on the yield side of things. its cases with verm and polymer if thats of any further help in helping me. I'm dreading the prospect of re-casing!!!
