is my first casing screwed?
    #5540088 - 04/21/06 04:32 AM (17 years, 9 months ago)

This is my first casing and it might be lost to stroma.  I put this bad boy in the FC 8 days ago with proper lighting, humidity, and temp.  60/40...damn coir.  It colonized 100% within 4 days.  After 2 days of misting and worrying I put a thin layer of casing over it.  It colonized a little more and then stopped.  Well the surface is very uneven.  It appears that almost half of the surface has some rhizo growth to it and the rest looks like plaster...with a tint of yellow.
My question is should I deep scratch the portions that look impenetrable?

Thanks guys.  By the way...my other casing started pinning overnight...I'll let you know how that goes

You really shouldnt do anythingthing until it fruits, you will probably just inhibit pinning.

I had one casing completely overlay but when it fruited it was probably the most even set I ever got.

Fact is if you mess with it to much you are most likely going to ruin it at this point.
