Espresso Pucks for Casings?

I was just making myself an espresso, using my cheapo-personal espresso machine, and whilest I was cleaning it, I got to wondering if mushrooms would grow on the puck of used espresso grounds that comes out. I once left a plastic bag of these pucks on the counter for a month, and a bright orange "something" started growing on them.

I figure since espresso uses forced (high PSI) steam, not boiling water to brew, the puck would be quite sterile. I don't know how "yummy" espresso grounds are to a shroom though. Maybe a combination of brown rice (not flour, it would plug up the machine) and vermiculite would work? You could make a pile of those little pucks in an hour easilly.

Anyone willing to try this?

Sounds, acidic...you might have to buffer it down...it may have a chance. *shrugs*
