i always get real impatient so i always put my just cooked jars into a pot of ice water, but not filled to the point where the jars are submerged, just so that 3/4 is. oh and maybe put them in cold water, then add ice as just pced jars could crack if you put them into ice water.
im no one to talk but patience is a key part of this hobby.

Just watch some TV and chill (420 so smoke), it's only a few hours you gotta wait, and besides, nothing's gunna happen right away.

ive got some LC baby bottles, and was wondering how long it takes? Its been about a week or so, kept in dark, 25 degrees celcius room. Do i shake up now to aggatate, or do i wait till i see strands of mycelium? Does the myc. grow at the bottom were the spores sank to? Should i put a heating pad on low close to them? And one more question should i open for air/gas exchange? I didnt use the tube/plyfill method....

The lack of FAE is gunna slow em down, and opening them cant be done often enough without getting contaminated. Keep it in 83F, 25C isn't enough. You can shake it to help them out if you want, and they will normall form on the bottom, although I've had unique strains form diferently without aggitation. KC formed in two big masses (solid looking, very cool) and M.Alb fomred in tiny circles all over. Other stains are more runny and other cool formations.
