I found a web site that uses tissue culture to propogate succulents & cacti. I was wondering if anyone knows of or has used this site, or if anyone has good experience in growing useing tissue cultures?

Actually yes. I have experience with plant tissue culture, however, not cacti tissue. I'm not sure how that would go, considering one uses agar as a medium that is mostly water for tissue cultures. Please link, sounds intresting.

I found a protocol. I am suprised to see they use almost the exact same medium we do for other plants. I thought the moisture would kill them, aparently not.
I guess I don't understand why you want to do this, this is kind of a pain in the ass, and expensive. Just breed cacti if you like them.

The natural highs faq reports than T. peruvianus may contain only tyramine, which would mean it represents the "purest" source of just mescaline. SOURCE
Wow it seems in this article they supplemented the media they were culturing on with tyrosine and found increased alkaloid content of tyramine (above taken from erowid)
Sounds like a great idea, I wonder if you could simply supplement your soil with this as well, or if it had to be all sterile...I would think it would work...
