Dear Bill Frist,
Before you?re verbally chastised in a most ethereal manner, my organization would like to compliment you for taking that much needed first step towards rational legislation.
For nearly fifty years, a conspiracy of atheistic judges has diverted this nation from its god-fearing origins and persistently ruled in favor of decadence. Arguably the most important role of the government, quietly sublimating Divine Law into American law, has been torn asunder by these sacrilegious swine.
The proposed Federal Marriage Amendment would swing the tide in favor of the truly righteous. The Church alone cannot repel this current surge of Satan worshipping homosexuals, who would undoubtedly, because of their evildoings, inflict our whole nation with devastating punishments from our Lord. One not need be reminded of the fate of Sodom. Since the Federal government has the duty to protect its citizens from harm, it is only rational that we be protected from the dregs cast upon us by homosexuality.
The Federal Marriage Amendment is a turn in the right direction; unfortunately, we cannot help but be upset by your timidity and lack of vision. While this amendment deals decently with the gay community, it does not address the full scope of this issue. Interreligious marriage, which leads to a destructive splintering of the faith, is also strictly forbidden.
These United States have fallen victim to, not only the threat of homosexuality, but also dangerously dissolute interreligious marriages. It is unclear to us, how in your morally astute wisdom, you failed to recognized this evil force menacing our holy Republic. Be not persuaded by humanists and similar deceivers, the moral problems associated with the state of marriage in this country pose a real and volatile threat. Please restore the freedom and dignity of our nation; Let all of God?s decrees have their righteous place in our constitution.

I'm guessing he wrote it himself as few social conservatives actually care about interreligious marriage as a political issue.

Is this version more clear/satirical?
The Federal Marriage Amendment is a turn in a frivolously righteous direction and we commend you for this astounding sophistry. Unfortunately, we cannot help but be upset by your timidity and lack of vision. While this amendment deals decently with the gay community, it does not address the full scope of this issue. Interreligious marriage, which leads to a destructive splintering of the faith, is also strictly forbidden. You cannot adopt one definition of marriage and forgo the other!
These United States have fallen victim to, not only the threat of homosexuality, but also dangerously dissolute interreligious marriages. It is unclear to us, how in your morally astute wisdom, you failed to recognize this evil force menacing our holy Republic. Marriage is between a man and a woman, of the same religion. And, be not persuaded by humanists, scientists, and similar deceivers, who whisper outrageous libertine lies into your ear about the constitution being a protection of liberties! Only a political pundit would deny it is the Federal government?s job to rigidly define socio-religious concepts. Neither the Churches nor the People should hold any sway over this matter.
The future of our nation requires us to implement autocratic Leviticus-based Amendments. Please restore the freedom and dignity of our nation; Let all of God?s screwy decrees have their righteous place in our constitution.

Seriously, Thanks for the good laugh. Not that I consider it absurd, actually...What direction are you writing for again?
Decadence is definately a form of sexuality. If it is genetic, then atleast being officially married under a homosexual title can keep them out of the sperm banks. I really dont want to believe that it is cause for a repeat of Sodom though. I have heard from both sides on the issue. Strictly religious doubts about the future of our country and its people. Dreading the extent of our acceptance as the world is just realizing it's Godfullness. Yet, also the belief that sexuality is a personal thing and shouldnt enterfear with cultural guidelines. Although, this is wrong...I think world wide violence is a bigger problem then homosexuality.
