WBS Moisture
    #5538315 - 04/20/06 04:24 PM (17 years, 9 months ago)

For those soaking WBS. If you over soak your particular batch of WBS...does that make creating the perfect moisture levels before PC'ing harder? I've tried to do agar's method, but it seems like something always comes up and it has to soak an extra 12-24 hours longer then I would have liked. I have strained some batches for up to 3 hours to no avail, just ends up to wet. Is this the key to correct moisture levels? Im I just soaking to long?

All I did was soak for 24 hours, rinse, strain, load, and pc. All of my jars have myc growth. I think people try to make it rocket science when its not really.

if WBS is "over-soaked " it will simply germinate and sprout, hence no such thing. Agar is absolutely correct in the fact that the WBS will simply stop expanding upon hydration. If your grains are too wet(not mushy though) your straining method isn't working.

PS. It your jars look a little to wet after PC'ing just let them sit for a couple days.

Holy dog shit! Texas? Only steers and queers come from Texas, Private Cowboy. And you don't look much like a steer to me so that kinda narrows it down. Do you suck dicks?

I use FoomanShrooms method for WBS and it has been working great so far. Moisture levels seem perfect
