I prefer Amsterdam over Antigua, iv never liked the beach, maybe because I grew up near it.

These are outside the Arizona house, taken from the pool patio...but I like the Antigua house better. I've never been to Amsterdam, sadly, so I can't give my opinion on it.

I live a half hour train ride from Amsterdam but I would prefer your properties. But one of them would need to be pretty close to a nice city for me to feel comfortable.

Many great houses and estates in this thread. Looks like wealthy people, specially goobie

Those are some awesome pictures Liz - they remind me of the times that i have traveled out to the desert, west coast, California, and the PNW.

I stayed in a few nice hotels that had pools like that when I was out there.

Our main house, (the 1st one I posted picture of) is directly next to Boston MA.  It's in a large city itself, most of the houses are directly on top of each other, we're just lucky enough to have some acreage, which makes it look like a country setting.

The Antigua property is in a gated community, essentially the rest of Antigua is a 3rd world country, it's very poor.

The Arizona house is in a pretty big city, and about 20-30 minutes outside of Phoenix.  We visited a lot of Arizona shroomerites when we were there last!!

I'll have to try to get some pictures of the places in Manhattan, the Bronx, and there's a house down in Florida that I don't have pictures of either.  Other than the house in Antigua though, none of them are far from major cities, and everything you need for day to day living

Damn...I have money but not enough to have vacation houses all over the place. Lucky!

Could you adopt me? I'm attentive, nice, and I won't pee on the carpet.

You dear, are more than welcome to come visit anywhere, anytime.  As long as you promise to play scrabble with me, a lot.  I play with suffer all the time, but he can't spell, and gets frustrated easily

She has to be an international drug kingpin...that's the only explanation.

Hah!  No I'm not a drug kingpin, and they're not even MY houses.  They're my boyfriend's parents houses, and they're nice enough to let us live in the house next to Boston for free, as well as use any of the other houses whenever we'd like

Actually right now we're looking into buying our first home of our own...and I actually would rather just continue vacationing at his parents residences and continue not having to worry about a mortgage or property taxes, or interest rates.  Blah!

My boyfriend's family comes from "old Boston money."  Our main house is located on 50 acres of land that is split into 2 25 acre parcels.  On the other 25 acre parcel is an old french mansion that my boyfriend's stepfather grew up in, and donated to MIT years ago, they now use it as a conference center.  It's nice because they maintain the whole property, (tennis courts, pool, basketball courts, etc) and they grow all of the plants in the greenhouse, but we can use any of it, whenever we want.

Oops, did I Say that out loud. Sorry.
If I were you liz, I'd start the most awesome san pedro operation out there.
I just busted out my dessert ID book hoping to identify some of the plants in your photo.
Nice setup.

It's actually really interesting, on the acreage at the Boston house, it was once all a huge botanical garden.  So plants grow here, wild, that aren't native to New England, or even to the US.

Here's some more pictures from around the house

^ some weird flower in the greenhouse

^^ wall that surrounds the property

^^ path down to the clearing in the woods

^^ me walking by the greenhouse, sporting the Shroomery hoodie, tripping my ass off  :tongue2:
