are you doing those in rocks glasses? as far as the wheat flour is concerned, i cant comment except that every grocery store has brown rice, and if you dont have a blender or coffee grinder to make it flourish then goodwill or other such store is your spot. honestly, since youve already done the wheat, let them go and let us know what happens, but go get some brown rice and grind it up!

The one on the far left has water collecting on the bottom, too moist. And yea, it probably killed the spores. Sorry bro, plan it more next time and good luck. But you'll see what happens.

if you have a wal-mart nearby they will have them, usually all year long. Thats always where I get mine from. I dont know if this helps because i have no idea what the PNW area is, but if it's in the states you should be able to find a wal-mart.

PNW= pacific north west, i believe.
I wouldn't give up on those jars just yet (well maybe you should get rid of the overly wet one) cause the stuff you used, wheat, is a grain just like any other grains ppl use (rye, popcorn, WBS...). I think you can get anything which is organic and contains starch to colonize.
Just yeasterday I was reading through a growlog of a guy who boiled some pasta, loaded it into his jars and inoculated them. Believe it or not, they colonized. Go check that out in the growlog forum its pretty interesting and might give you some inspiration.

oh and PS, you're gonna want to wait a hell of a lot more than 2 hours to inject.
do not try to rush cooling. you might crack your jars. you might suck in contaminated air as the air inside contracts quickly. you'll probably kill your spores.
best to cook them up, leave them in the pot overnight and shoot 'em up tomorrow. try and save a few hours here = waste days or weeks in the long run on failed jars. if you must, give them at least 6hr.

id keep the lid on. you want the jars to be as CLEAN as possible, leave the lid on so nothing falls in there.

the only way to speed things up is to keep them in the dark and at a stable constant temp, around 84 is pretty much ideal. i know people say light doesn't matter at this stage, but it seems to me like the less i peek and keep them dark, the quicker they go (although it could be in my head...the longer between peeking obviously the more its going to grow :-)) if you leave your foil on, or taped your holes, you can take that off so the holes are exposed once they got nice sized white patches in them. (with the dry layer of verm you can take it off even sooner, but it doesn't really help and slightly increases your contam risk.) when they're close to 80% you can flip them upside down to help finish it off. other than that, patience is your best tool.

you're sterile yourself? might wanna get that checked out if you plan on having kids
but really, the pf tek is designed to make sterile innoculations almost fool proof. the more you do the better, but i've seen 100% success with a good hand washing, cleaning the work surface well, stopping any fans/air conditioner etc, spray a little oust into the air in the area, flame sterilizing the needle only once at the beginning and alcohol swabbing between jars, and moving quick to keep your holes and needle exposed for as little time as possible. you only need to go to extremes like glove boxes or flow hoods when you have large surfaces exposed, like agar plates, handling opened spore prints, etc.
