"You can't prove a negative" -- conventional wisdom
If the moon's surface is made out of rock, then it is not made out of jello. The moon's surface has been shown to be made out of rock. Therefore, the moon's surface is not made out of jello. QED

More properly: you can't prove contingent non-existentials.
In English: you can't prove the Flying Spaghetti Monster does not exist. No matter how many places you look and see He is not there, there will always be other places you haven't checked yet.
However, you can prove that there is no ball that is entirely green and entirely red.

why would you want to prove fsr doesn't exist when he's right there on his website waving his noodly appendage at you?

to thread: You only can prove a negative in limited space and time. "There are no clothes in the cupboard !" "This cupboard contains no clothes now, but it contained some yesterday"

I'd say all you can assume are 1's and 0's.

Ofcourse not. Digital means that the values in between are assumed to be either 1 or 0 if that is what you mean. Otherwise it would be analogic.

Sry I didn't see the reply...I'm a little tired, been up doing stuff from very early in the morning and itnow is 23:00 here...Pfff. I think I'll go to bed.
Oh, and by the way, I understood your point and meant the same thing from a different perspective but I am too tired to get into it right now. Point is we agree.

The moon landing was fake. They just don't want us to know that the moon is made up of delicious jello.

Those jello-extracting missions are treacherous! Also, the mining equipment doesn't hold up very well when they strike a pineapple deposit.
I wonder what the experience would be like to step upon a ball of jello the size of the moon.....
Peace.

Indeed, logic and rationality are amazing tools to discern patterns and make inductions and deductions.
-------------------- "What is in us that turns a deaf ear to the cries of human suffering?" "Belief is a beautiful armor But makes for the heaviest sword" - John Mayer Making the noise "penicillin" is no substitute for actually taking penicillin. "This country, with its institutions, belongs to the people who inhabit it. Whenever they shall grow weary of the existing government, they can exercise their constitutional right of amending it, or their revolutionary right to dismember or overthrow it." -Abraham Lincoln

That's because the Flying Spaghetti Monster is a false prophet and we all should worship the Swimming Spaghetti Monster, who can also fly.

you all assume that logic is what can prove everythign about objective existance
"However, you can prove that there is no ball that is entirely green and entirely red."
yah,it doesnt fit into our little logic rules, but who's to say there isnt something like that "out there" ,like the flying spaghetti monster
once you udnerstand that we actually know NOTHING about what anythign ACTUALLY is,that the very extent of our understanding is only within ORGANIZING things, and not understanding them (however it is "you" do that) then you see that truth is entertainment, because who really fucking knows,or could ever know and explain?
