Will Hydrogen Peroxide Kill Spores?

I have had a continuing problem with contamination in my cakes. I was wondering that if I mixed a little H202 in with the water used in moistening them, if it would kill the spores after innoculation? My substrate is brown rice flour and vermiculite.

actually, it's fine to add h2o2 to your substrate as long as it's before you cook it. the h2o2 will break down when you sterilize it - and it breaks down into water and oxygen, so it's no problem. hydrogen peroxide might help you out.

this is by no means advanced..
sterialize your substrate in a Pressure Cooker, and observe sterile technique and you will have no problems..
if you use H2O2 in a sub. and heat it, you break down the H2O2 into H2O and O2.. thus nullifying the intent of the H2O2

Germinate your spores in malt water first, then add some h202 to this solution to clean it up.

I have suspicion that spore print might have endospore contamination. So peroxide could kill them (after germination) and leave cubensis spores alive?

it's called a server, and this is text. text takes up literally almost no space.

peroxide will likely kill more spores than endospores, endospores are quite a bit more durable than mold spores.
