I checked 2 patches today; nothing active, but I found a cluster of Coprinus on the side of the road (It's a short walk to the patches, so I didn't see much). I've always found that: First comes Coprinus, Second comes Panaeolus, and Last comes Psilocybe. Basically, we'll start seeing Panaeolus popping up in fields in a week or 2, then, another week or 2 later, Psilocybe cubensis. It's just a guess, though.

Already finding lots of pan subs, I have checked a few weilii patches and absolutely no sign of a network starting yet except for 2 places. I did see some nice mycelium growth at one patch that i found early summer weilii last year. Honestly its only certain patches that fruit in the summer and spring and alot of times in my experience those same patches wont fruit again in the fall, also same for fall patches i wont find any during the summer. At any rate just check check check till you find em...

Hey everyone. I was a member here a couple of years ago (Lodger) when first learning how to make a positive ID, and now I am back, thanks in large part to these crazy weiliis. I keep waiting for word on this board and weilii.com about the shroomies popping up, but have yet to see any widespread reports of findings. Have the average find tapered off at all? Is Weilii losing strength or gaining it? I recall seeing HUGE findings a couple of years back! Anyway, I am about 30 mins S of ATL, and I'm looking for a good excuse to go up north within the next week or two (Or should I just wait till fall?). I will likely be needing a guide or hunting-buddy, so if you are open to it, PM me.
My 2 cents. TJT
