I have never in my life heard of this before. Trying to figure out if the chemical in the fish is already discovered or if its new. Very odd, input appreciated.

It seems to be different. This is pretty common. In the sea many poisons and chemicals are developed by marine life for many different reasons.

if u were to search it ud find more links, but ive read about them before, and even the puffer-fish is one that is hallucinogenic, but also deadly. they say that it could possibly be DMT secretions from the fish when eaten. they supposedly also causes terrifying nightmares.

its up and running now...
lots of "terrifying" things. is it just cause they're tripping without wanting to? they most definatly tried to fight the drug.

I dont think I would go ahead and eat a hallucinogenic fish unless I knew what caused those effects.
Like if someone were to ask me if I wanted to try some all natural hallucinogenic honey. It sounds cool, but the only thing in it would be tropanes. I really dont like tropanes, so eating it without knowing what was in it would be a big mistake.

I think the article stated that there where auditory hallucinations and the effects where 36+ hours. sounds like a tropane to me.
