staining???

i've got some jars that i innoculated... and well... where the spore infused water went in... it's now a yellow... almost flouresant yellowy-green colour. has this happened to anyone else???

Yellow/Green? Sounds like Aspergillus.

I'd say they are definitely contaminated. Removed the top and holding the jar about a foot away from your face, lighty fan some air from the top of the jar towards yourself. It should smell moldy.

but it's not fungus or anything...
the rice looks like it's been dyed...
i think i'll wait and see what happens...
