Best decision Bush has made in the last 5 years.
I won't be missing this snivelling little publicist-with-a-suit.

At least Ari Flecher was entertaining, and sometimes witty & clever

Yea, Ari liked to goof around with the press once in awhile. This was probably a clever way to dodge questions though. Scotty was a boring hack who would predictably dodged questions with a simple statement that he couldn't answer the question.

Bush Press Secretary Quits, Limbaugh Downplays Rumors

by Scott Ott

(2006-04-19) ? Nationally-syndicated radio talkshow host Rush Limbaugh today downplayed rumors that he?s in the running to replace White House Press Secretary Scott McClellan, who announced his resignation today.

?I could never afford the pay cut,? said Mr. Limbaugh. ?Although I?m confident that I could answer questions from the White House press corps with half my brain tied behind my back.?

?I could deal with Helen Thomas while blindfolded,? he added. ?In fact, the blindfold would be a non-negotiable condition of my employment.?

Limbaugh as press secretary? That would be amusing, but not half as amusing as having Ann Coulter as press secretary. Now that would be a hoot and a half.

Can you see the lynch mob? It would be fucking beautiful. The dumbasses wouldn't be able to sputter a whole sentence much less a coherent question.

Limbaugh or Coulter would be excellent choices. They know how to answer a question.

Yeah, Ann Coulter as press secretery.

Reporter: "Can you comment on the massive inteligence failure leading up to the Iraq war?"

Coulter: "Fuck you hippy!"

And I said, I don't care if they lay me off either, because I told, I told Bill that if they move my desk one more time, then, then I'm, I'm quitting, I'm going to quit. And, and I told Don too, because they've moved my desk ...four times already this year and I used to be over by the window and I could see the squirrels, and they were merry, but then, they switched from the Swingline to the Boston stapler, but I kept my Swingline stapler because it didn't bind up as much and I kept the staples for the Swingline stapler and its not okay because if they take my stapler then I'll set the building on fire.

Scott was like a little turd that rove passed, drew
a smiley face on and promoted to press secretary.

I'm not sure why ANYONE would want that job.

Fronting an administration like this, in these times,
doesn't lend itself to a further political career.

I've honestly never understood the press secretary thing. A good executive should be able to stand on a podium for 25 minutes 4 days a week answer questions about his job.
