so i was having problems with my temperature being to high in my FC and due to lack of options i started throwing some ice packs around it. well it brought the temp down from 80 to 74 but it also made my RH drop from 94 to 90. is a RH of 90 ok?

Cakes need closer to 100% humidity. Casings will be OK though. Do a little misting for an instant increase in RH.

Yes. I believe it's about 10% peroxide you want, but I'm not positive. I never mix it with my water when I mist personally.

pmp with two air strips under lavarock and 2 adjustable holes on top for fae that are very small as of right now. basically the same as magash's pmp tek. i was getting contant 94 RH originally. then i birthed my cakes, temp went up 5 degrees everytime the light kicked on so i had to put icepacks around to keep the temp around 73 but then my humidity went to shit.

A twenty degree drop in temperature reduces the ability of the air to hold moisture by 50%.
By the way, 80 is ok for the fruiting chamber. My house is hot all summer. Fruiting continues just fine at up to 85. In fact, I've incubated jars at 75, then fruited at 85 with no loss of vigor or crappy pinsets. I sure wouldn't put ice in the FC if the temp is only 80. Also, back your light away from the FC so it doesn't raise the temps as much. RR

i bet the ice was sucking out the water from the air. tons of condensation.

When you make a glass of ice water or grab a cold beer out of the friedge, and it gets water droplets and condensation on the outside of it, where do you think that moisture comes from?

i researched for hours and discovered that in fact that water comes from little fat gnome creatures with enlarged prostates. if this was a rhetorical question then of course you already knew that
btw. that was not my question but thanks for the input.
