misting or injection for dry cakes?

my friend's cakes seem to be a little dry. he has them sitting right on the vermiculite, but maybe he's got them with too much dry heat during coloniztion. who knows?
anyway, which do you think he should do or would be better- misting them or injecting a bit of water into the center with a syringe?????

any help appreciated.

dunk them for 12 hours or so. i wouldnt recomend injecting water unless you have a reservoir in your cakes. dont mist your cakes either. mist only the walls of your terarrium.
