NewB Question
    #5531437 - 04/18/06 10:02 PM (18 years, 8 months ago)

I did a search and couldnt find the answer to this and no teks are really specific on this.  Can anyone tell me if you can mix colonized jars of the same strain to make a casing.  Like if I took 2-3 jars of malabar and made a big casing would that work??? or would they fight with each other???  Thanks and sorry if it is posted and im just dumb!

Yes, you most definitely can do this. This is common practice.

You can and should do this instead of fruiting individual cakes.

"If I give advise or mention anything on the topic of mushroom cultivation, it was read within the archives of www.shroomery.org. would like to say that I grow active mushrooms however it is illegal to grow such natural fungi.. therefore my participiation in this hobby doesn't go past the reading of articles and viewing of photos within this website." - OneSense
