where may I purchase light karo?

Just about any grocery store will have it. Mine says it contains vanilla, that's OK.

How long do I have to wait after inoculation?

I've waited as long as 10 days, but usually 3-5 days to show signs of growth.

I am assuming I should treat it as a regular grain jar?

Yes, but you'll want to shake the hell out of this thing daily. Multiple times if possible. This aerates the LC so the myc can breathe.

80F no light?

Yep, although light doesn't seem to make a difference. I'm pretty sure the solution won't pin! If it does TAKE PICS!!!

The LC should look something like this when complete:

Refrigerate it once it looks like that (after shaking) and take it out whenever you need it.

Make sure when you PC that the jar lid is loose or you have a filter to allow for steam to escape. Search Agar's posts. He has a great pictorial for making LC jars with little tubes for air/inoculation/extraction.
