Is this mycelium?

I have a kind of off the wall question (lol if you must) but here it goes...
I have a bonsai garden and I think I have spawned some mycelium in one of the bonsai pots. I had a cake flushing in some perlite for quite some time and when the cake was done I dumped the perlite iand water into one of the bonsai pots.
Is it possible that there is mycelium in the pot? It is completely white and smells shroomy. If this is mycelium, is there any way to fruit the mycelium in the pot along with the tree and will the mycelium eventually kill the tree?

If you subject the mycellium to the proper fruiting parameters then yes, it's concievable that it will fruit. Your bonsai tree will also be fine.
cubensis is not a wood-loving speice, I don't think it will kill your tree although it may fight for nutrients.
IF thats what it is!

I have a feeling it is mycelium because it was not like that before I dumped the perlite into the pot, and I use the same soil mix for all my trees and no other tree is displaying signs of this growth. What else coud it be? It is white, fuzzy and ryzmophoric.
I put a layer of vermiculite covering the top layer of soil.
Will this be enough to initiate pinning?
If anyone knows of another way to get the parameters correct to initiate pinning please let me know?

Did you do anything with the growth? Did you start to initiate pinning to get some shrooms?

I would let the growth continue until you have as big as possible large mass of mycellium.
