How do you use 'shrooms for 'therapy'?

Hey guys I've been growing shrooms for a while now and giving them out to my friends. I have tripped myself with them three times all together. Once 2 years ago and twice recently. ATM I am having various problems that have to do with my past and things that I have pushed away to a great extent. This resulted in my last 2 trips not really giving me much. I didn't let myself in onto what was happening on the trip. My friends for the most part were having very spiritual and opening experiences but I was quite closed towards what was happening most of the time. Only towards the end of my last trip did I actually start opening up. I don't really want to go into all things I mean when I say there is a lot I am having to deal with. What I really want to know is how do you go about really focusing on letting yourself in onto what your trip is bringing you. What do you do to focus on seeing what is 'there' instead of staying in your head for the most part and not being effected properly by what is going on... Hope it makes sense what I am asking Thanks everyone Peace

don't think about the trip, just let it happen as it happense. Don't assess what's happening, don't try to dive deeper into what's happening. If there was something you were meant to know or think or see, the shrooms will bring it to your attention, otherwise it's just not time. Solo tripping in a quiet environment with few distractions will help but it wont guarantee anything. Just trust that it'll come once your brain's ready to let it. You can't force these things and they do take time.

For a long time I would take mushrooms and other various psychadelics to try and get something out of them. I was always searching for that ONE trip that would blow my world right open and outright change me as a person.
It never happened. But in a way it did...
My downfall is that I was using "drugs" to get something. When in fact, "drugs" don't give you anything at all.
The way I look at it now (and it is a much better viewpoint) is that mushrooms don't change you, they make you realize you can change yourself. Anytime you want, anyhow you want.
