Apple Purposely Slows MacBook Pro Graphics

They sure think different alright. I wonder if the hard drives are only half partitioned too.

> I never liked apple that much

I grew up hating Apple... it wasn't until OS-X came out that I started to appreciate what they have to offer.  As Ythan likes to point out, the Apple hardware is certainly lacking compared to what you can do for the same money in the non-Apple world.  There are also many applications that I would not recommend an Apple.

However, the OS, in my opinion, is much easier to use for somebody that knows nothing about computers than any alternative.  I have converted a lot of non-power-users from PC to Apple, and for them it is the perfect fit.  They are browsing the web, using email, sending pictures, etc, but nothing more.  You know, the people that don't realize that you shouldn't click yes to install the newest spyware.  For these folks, the Apple OS is a dream come true.

I also feel that the Apple does a much better job with audio/video software, including web authoring software and picture manipulation software.  It is amazing how much easier it is to use Photoshop on an Apple compared to a PC.  Again, the OS-X user interface paradigm is very well designed.

There are many applications that I would not recommend an Apple.  Any type of server environment, for example, or any place that performance is a big issue, such as gaming.  Trust me, for anything good about Apple that I can say, I can find something bad to mention as well.  This is the case with any hardware or software company, including Linux and Solaris (which is my favorite OS).  I can even find a few things nice to say about Microsoft and Windows, but I usually choose not to.

If I can ever install OSX on my home-built PC and run Windows applications with 10% performance loss I am so totally there. It could happen if Apple was smart enough.

There was discussion on /. recently of Apple incorporating the full windows API into OSX so it could natively run windows programs.

Apparently, Apple would be able to due to some technology sharing agreement apple and microsoft made when microsoft was being ass fucked for one of it's antitrust things.

Removing al of IE is a BAD idea.(c)
Windows uses ie to display all html. Many program create html to display. So removing all of IE while possible is BAD.

You can disable it see the explanation here:
