My grain has peanut butter ooze color
    #5527460 - 04/17/06 10:57 PM (18 years, 9 months ago)

Hey whats up. I am brand spanking new to the forum and I've been growing for about a year and a half. I looked through the old posts and didn't find my question so here goes. I have recently switch to grain from brown rice flour with bad results. The grain in my quart and half pinters is losing moisture at the top and leaving me with a peanut butter looking ooze at the bottom. It is finch seed. If anyone can help I would appreciate it.

do you have bust grains?
what are you using for gas exhange in the lid?
grain could be too wet. try a spoon a dry verm in the bottom beofre you load the grainand PC. saves waiting an hour to drain IMO

I used docs wild birdseed tek. I simmer and have some grain explosion but not to much and I use filter disks from fungi perfect. Dry verm you say. Interesting indeed. Thanx for the tip.
