direct inoculation to outdoor BRF/VERM mix ?
    #5525839 - 04/17/06 04:59 PM (18 years, 1 month ago)

I was thinking..

since growing outdoor eliminates contams what if we were to mix verm/brf the pf tek way and use this substrate to make a patch outside and directly inoculate it with spores. will the substrate colonize? what about directly injecting dung outdoors?

One more question..

will a PF JAR incubated outdoors get contams?

I don't know where you got this impression, but this is not true put like that.

Growing outdoors on high nutritious substrates is as prone (and more prone)to contamination than growing indoors.

Only if you grow outdoors on less nutritious substrates, "guarded" by beneficial organism, you can have a relatively trouble free outdoor grow.

From my personal experience, you need to get your culture growing vigorously indoor under sterile conditions before you set it outdoors. I doubt you will have any luck just trying to start spores outdoors. Dung must be composted first too. You need to build a huge pile of dung and straw and it has to heat up and be turned.
