Nope. Haven't even tried man. Hasn't rained hard since february, although we did have a little rain 2 weeks ago. other than that, humidity has stayed steady under 40% which is friggen ridiculous. I hope it starts raining around may 15th. I get my license back tomorrow and plan a trip to sarasota around the 15th. I'm in st pete, but if you're gonna be right in tampa i suggest you head north to ocala. Nothing but cows up there.

well it rained pretty much all last week, and i live in south florida, but my brother up in ORlando said that theres mushies every where up there so theres a good chance that u should be able to find some cubes after a nice shower. Jus dont get hit with the salt pellets... the farmers do not hesitate to hit u with them down here.

South of Orlando tends to fruit year round, albeit much less in the winter. I'd imgaine things in Tampa are just now starting to get "in swing." Within a month it should be close to full force, provided they get enough rain.
GGreatOne (another hunting forum mod) can give you better advice about Florida because he has hunted there for YEARS.
GG, what do you think?

there are plenty of pastures on the way into north tampa from clearwater/palm harbor area. i must pass by 3 or 4 most days. ive never done much looking though, does anyone know of any local mycology groups that head out and do some searching around the area... not that mycology groups would necessarily do that kinda thing
oh, and nice to meet you all and see this local area i live in is so abundant. good stuff
might be some rain this weekend... its been 30-40% chances for a while now!

I just recently moved from St Pete to Tampa, and after that little rain we had a few days ago, there were a decent batch of mushies in the cow fields up in seminole
