how are u heating the PMP, with a fish tank heater under geolite?
Or if u are just using room temperature a small fan on a timer might help keep things a bit nore stable in temp. NOt really sure why it would rise up surely cakes dont produce that much heat...do they?

Cakes are growing mycelium. Growth causes heat. I'm not a cake expert, but I've noticed bulk-poo generates enough heat to incubate without an incubator. I'm sure if you have many cakes in the same spot heat shall be generated.

Get a fan or turn up the AC. Shouldn't take too much to drop it 2-4 degrees.

Exact same thing happened to my pmp so I just switched to running a fan almost 24/7 and it lowered the temp to about 73 degrees from 78 degrees.  It also lowered the rH dramatically so I had up my humidifier times.  You'll have to experiment with times to get the right temps and rH.
