Ive been wanting to go back to school for IT, computer repair, something i may be able to do from home. all I can find are scams wanting you to buy some bs info pack, does anyone have any suggestions on what i should go for? where or what to search for? I love computers and working with or on them, should i go for a degree or just certification? im 34 and should have planned and thought this out along time ago. but i need to find a career that is worth doing, staying with and can give my family a better life. ive been in construction and dead end jobs too long!

I am not in the field, but have many friends that are. I have a couple friends that have 4 year degrees while other friends took classes at community colleges to get their specific certifications. From what I gather certification is the key to getting a job.
They all do pretty well, I might add.
