What's the average time for BFR/verm PF cakes to colonize?

Well with B+ , it usually will take 10 days to get to about 80% or so...then another few days to reach 100%. B+ isint a super fast colonizer however...

Im doing some PESA's right now, and they were @ 80% in 6 days...lol they are hella fast. Been about 10 days though to get to 100%... I personally wait a few more days after 100% to ensure a strong mycelium structure before breaking them up again and putting them into casings or straw.

It really depends. If you want fast colonization go with fresh substrate (grind your own BRF if you need to), fresh spores, perfect conditions (dark, 80-84 degrees).

GC jars 100% in 12.5 - 13 days here -- not air exchange -- 1/4 CC per hole from a light syringes.

My cat has four strains colonizing as I type....the B+'s seem to be about four to five days behind my cats other strains.....

However they seem thicker ans whiter than the rest.

B+ are slow IMO - in the time it took me to colonise, case and get one flush out a B+ casing - i had four flushes from a Lipa Yai casing that i innoculated at the same time

My B+ took 2 weeks. But the first 5days they only had a 75degree incubator temp.

How long for the Lipa's? I did 12 jars the other day on brf and they are comming along pretty good.

I have not yet worked with the B+, but it seems to have a rep for being a slow colonizer. and yes PESA are super fast, i got my jars fully colonized at 14 days! they have been birthed for a week now .
