Sterilization of Peat Moss
    #552277 - 02/15/02 07:49 AM (22 years, 2 months ago)

I read about pasteurizing it and using a pressure cooker, but i can't really do either. Could i sterilize it like i did vermiculite for the jars. Just put it in a oven container and set the temp at 450 or whatever it was, and put it in for some time.
Any parameters or info would be good.
thanx, MrMojoRisen

The oven might leech some moisture. I'de suggest pasturisation or pressure cooking it in a oven bag. Dont forget to weight it down somehow so it doesnt cover the escape holes.
