ok well i dont have a picture of my own, but by searching on the search i found a picture that has the exact characteristics as what mine has. im curious if its a contam or jsut brf stuck on the sides of the jar.
http://www.shroomery.org/images/3381/27675.jpg
i dont have any bad smells or any type of discoloration on the cakes, except what looks like the pic above.
thanks i hope to hear from you all soon.

that picture is pretty hard to tell anything. it could be a wet spot.
but IMO it looks good.

ok say it was a wet spot contamination, if so wouldnt the contamination spread around, eating the mycellium?
or would the only way to be sure is to cut up the cake and see if it really was contaminated.
i have 3 jars that are simular to that picture "cept for the big spot on the right" all small spots, none are growing.. so if i decided to kill one of them at the end of the mycellium colonization and rip into the whole cake of 1 to check for contaminations... if that one on the outside looked just like the other 2, and it had no contams, then the others should be alright.. right?
if not during my fruiting will i then know for sure if mine are contamination free or not? what type of charactistics should i be looking for?
thanks once again for helping me out, i really appreciate it.

you wont have to brake up the cake to check. Once you take of the lid you'll be able to smell if its wet spot.
