I bought bulk RYE berries from a "natural market" for about 60cents a pound. However, i injfected some kits two weeks ago and there is no growth AT ALL. They have been kept in room temp... but stilll... its been ATLEAST two weeks maybe 3 for a few jars. Im guessing this rye might have had fungicide... Right?

It has to say on the bag if it has been treated.
Plus it wouldn't be natural if it was treated si i dought you'd find it in a natural market.

Is there a reason why it could be taking 2-3 weeks? The temp was in the 60's to upper 60's its now in the 70's. Could this really slow growth? This long....

Spores will be very slow to germinate in the 60's, so that might be the problem. I doubt seriously that a natural market would sell anything but organic grains, so I would suspect something else. Try to bump the temperature up to around 80. Use a space heater in your room if you need to. RR

Im going to do a little test, take some spawn from a bag (a little bit) and mix it in with some cooked rye berries to see if it grows through it.

Yes it can. Esp since temps for colonizing are 86f. With those temps I'd be surprised if it did finish.
