Half a handful. Of course this is totally relative. Maybe try

1 large: (4-6", half-dollar-sized cap, pinky-sized stem) or

3 medium: (3-5", quarter sized cap, pencil-sized stem)

5-6 small: (maybe 2.5 to 4" with nickel-sized cap)

Eating fresh is usually a pretty gentle come-on as they digest slower than dried and much slower than powdered.

Despite the myth about needing to eat all at once, take your time and you can almost control the high. Yes you can bring it to the level where you want it without getting that thunderstruck "What the fuck did I do?" feeling and keep it going pretty much all day.

It depends on your weight, the quality of the product, and how hard you want to trip your frist time out. My friend ate 10g of fresh picked just as the viels were breaking PF race on BRF using PF-TEK cakes her first time ever on an empty stomach. She only weights 110 lbs, and it rocked her world... it was probably an upper medium dose, maybe rated 3.5 on a scale from 1 to 5 (based on trip reports, etc).

Looking back, this seems like a kind of small dose. Maybe it was because it was her first time, or because they were so fresh. Quite literally, they went from the cake into her belly without passing go...

My best suggestion:

10 gr fresh, up it if after 1 1/2 it's not strong enough. Doubling any dose means your Trip will move into a whole different ballpark, which may mean well over Double Trouble if the going gets rough.

My friend has never had any luck redosing during a trip. The redose helps extend the length of the trip, but never seems to add any height. Until she got comfortable with their affects, this was a typical session:

1) weight out 3.5 grams of dry fruit
2) chicken out and take 2 grams
3) trip peaks, thinking "Sheesh, I coulda done twice this"
4) weight out another 2 grams
5) Hmmm... nothing... damn, what a waste.

Lmfao. 100g fresh? My first time i picked fresh cubes in a cow pasture. 40gs fresh was enough for 2 people in one bottle of tea.

Just weigh the mushrooms & eat 10x the dry weight. Like 30g fresh should be plenty. Or even just eat 3 or 4 of the bigger mushrooms.

Terrance Mckenna suggests 50 grams fresh but that is the equivalent of 5 grams dried.

I ate a zip of fresh last night and only had a nice buzz.  :shrug:  my anti-psychotics blocked out the fun, what can I say?
