when you break it up it has to expend energy to rebuild. there is a fixed amount of energy in the bag. the more you break it up, the more energy is used to repair, the less energy available to produce fruits.

would cuttin a colonized rye bag in half be a better choice than breaking it up when casing?

buckeyeball that could potentially stall your mycelium groth a week...this is what iv read and have been told by more experienced cultivaters than myself...id let it chll

headbig.......ummm no the reason to do grains is the

mass amounts of inoculation points breaking it up and putting it in a cassing is

making those "points of inoculation" and your adding the mycelium to MORE nutreiens so the energy it has to burn isnt a big deal at all

I wouldn't recommend breaking it up at 85% just wait it out, I only broke mine up once at like 40% when the substrate was still kind of loose.
