Some Mushrooms Are Growing In My Pot Plant
    #5517201 - 04/14/06 08:50 PM (17 years, 9 months ago)

I'm in far southern Australia. I noticed these growing in the potplants on my patio. I'm guessing the potting mix contained the spores. Here is just one of the many clumps.

I haven't touched them yet, so I haven't got a spore print, as I'm not sure they have finished growing.

Any idea what they are?

Print them and do a brusing test. I *think* They're either some sort of Psilocybe (not necessarily active), Stropharia, or Galerina. Galerina are DEADLY. Definately print them, test for bluing, get more pics of stem and such. Interesting find. I'd like to see more and hear more about this mushroom.

Just a note: it fits the bill for both an active and a deadly mushroom. Do not under any cicumstances eat this mushroom. Give us more info.
