Getting Started

I have recently decided that i would like to try the cultivation of mushrooms. I would just like some help on getting started, so any answers to the following questions would be greatly appreciated.

- Should i buy a mushroom kit (comes with everything i need appearantly for $150 CAD), if not what is the best method to grow?
- How much room do i need?
- What type of lighting is required?
- How much yield can i excpect?

Dont buy a kit there the bigest ripoffs!!!... Just get some spores for $10 or $20 depends where you get them then get some wide mouth canning jars $20 or so then verm and some brown flour plus some perlite all that equals to around $10 then score yourself a couple of rubbermaid containers $10 all that equals 50-60 and you dont need a pressure cooker I have only lost cakes cuz of lazyness and stupidty not cuz of not having a pressure cooker so a quick trip to walmart will get you everything but the spores...
