Extra syringe LC idea...

Well I have all these extra syringes (these are very small syringes, .5cc each) and I was thinking, because i've had a lot of contamination problems recently, what if I put .3 cc or so of LC liquid (honey/karo and water) into each syringe and PC'd it up for a few minutes, then sucked in another .2cc off of a spore print, then stuck four of these babies into a pre-pressurecooked jar and sealed off the holes. Since the jars are sterilized and so are the syringes, nothing would contaminate... then once the LC starts to germinate in the syringe i could just shove the whole thing into the jar, then for air exchange I could pull the plungers back out later on when it's started colonizing, and replace it with some sterilized wadding?
I know the purpose of an LC is normally to get a lot more out of spores, but i'm talking about sterility here, would this be a viable way to keep the system completely sterile? The syringes cost me nothing so that's not a worry either.

that might work, but not if your prints are the root of your contamination problems.

I've noticed that the contaminations start from (usually) the inoculation sites when I use syringes, so it has something to do with inoculation.
any good way to test a print beforehand?

I see more chances for contamination with that method then just properly doing the tek the first time. Lid set up can make a big difference. http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/5242253#Post5242253 If you don't have a way for filtered air to enter the jar when you extract the LC air can get pulled into the syringe from the back due to vacuum. The tubes can be squeezed when shaken so the pollyfil doesn't get wet. Micropore tape around the bottom of the lid can also be helpful because most lids don't seal 100%
Your spore syringe must be clean also or else no matter how well you do the tek you will get contamination.
Also you should follow this for open air inoculations. http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/5296250#Post5296250

YES. If you use this agar replacement method using BRF. http://www.shroomery.org/index.php/par/25948
You can make your syringe then inoculate the BRF and wait for it to colonize. It will be easy to spot any contamination on the BRF. As and ADDED bonus if it was clean and fully colonized and if you have a glove box you could pick the most rhizomorphic looking growth and use that to to transfer to your LC. You now have guaranteed clean LC if everything was done right and just learned a little something about using isolations.
I'm tottaly doing this for my next LC.
