No military spending for you?

I think that that way we spend our money on the military ultimately makes us less safe, not more.

Our military aid to other nations and our force stationing in other nations definately makes us less safe. It entangles us in other people's problems and it breeds resentment. I think military funding should be used to defend our borders and that's about it.

I prefer a large defensive military. It's not wise to be caught with your pants down in this world.

I say spend money on the military but keep a tab on the black op projects that the Congress doesn't even know what the contractors are working on. They just give out money and don't know what it's for, all they know is it's top secret. Even generals say that we can have our current army with a lower defense budget.

I'm not too worried. The US is so armed that if we were invaded, they would face an official army plus the best guerilla army the world has ever seen.

the best guerilla army the world has ever seen.

You might have the fattest guerilla army the world has ever seen, dressed in the loudest hawaiian shirts, but I'm not sure that would make it the best.

You are really under-estimating the availability of weapons here and the factor or protecting one's homeland. Being fat doesn't make you any less of a good shot.

"We must not let our rulers load us with perpetual debt.
We must make our election between economy and liberty
or profusion and servitude.

If we run into such debt, as that we must be taxed in our meat and
in our drink, in our necessaries and our comforts,
in our labors and
our amusements, for our calling and our creeds...

[we will] have no time to think,
no means of calling our miss-managers to account
but be glad to obtain subsistence by hiring ourselves
to rivet their chains on the necks of our fellow-sufferers...

And this is the tendency of all human governments.

A departure from principle in one instance
becomes a precedent for [another ]...

till the bulk of society is reduced to be mere automatons of misery...

And the fore-horse of this frightful team is public debt.

Taxation follows that, and in its train wretchedness and oppression."
-- Thomas Jefferson

For more information see Jefferson's Prophecy.

"I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies . . .

If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around [the banks] . . .

will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered . . .

The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people, to whom it properly belongs."
-- Thomas Jefferson -- The Debate Over The Recharter Of The Bank Bill, (1809)

For more information see Jefferson's Prophecy.

--------------------------------------------------------------------
"From 1913, until 1933, under the authority of the U.S. Congress, a private corporation held control of this nation's GOLD. The U.S. paid interest on the use of their own gold, with more and more of its gold, ultimately ending in bankruptcy.

Inevitably, the bankers foreclosed.

On March 9, 1933, the U.S. declared bankruptcy, as expressed in President Franklin Delano Roosevelt's Executive Orders 6073, 6102, 6111, and 6260.

President Roosevelt declared a National Emergency that made it unlawful for any citizen of the United States to own gold.

Our bankrupt nation went into receivership and reorganized in favor of it's creditor and new owners, a private corporation of international bankers.

(Since 1933, what is called the "United States Government" is a privately owned corporation of the Federal Reserve/IMF.)"

INSCRIPTIONS ON FEDERAL RESERVE NOTES
1913 . . . TO . . . 1934
"Redeemable in Gold on demand at the United States Treasury or in Lawful money, at any Federal Reserve Bank." "Will pay to the bearer on demand one dollar."

1934 . . . TO . . . 1968
"This note is legal tender for all debts public and private and is redeemable in lawful money at the United States Treasury, or any Federal Reserve bank." "Will pay to the bearer on demand one dollar."

1968 . . . TO . . . 1998
"This note is legal tender for all debts, public and private"

THERE IS NO PROMISE TO PAY, NOR IS A NOTE A DOLLAR!!

And the New $100 "off center" Franklin bill issued in 1998 and the other "off center" bills issued since are no longer even against a Federal Reserve Bank, the Seal is that of the Federal Reserve System . . .

Welcome to the "System" . . . !!!

Fucked up the Brits during the revolutionary war... Don't worry, we have enough fit people to fight.

Friendly fire casualties have been shrinking. A large number of casualities during WWII were actually caused by friendly fire.

The best? I am not sure how a herd of obese people would fare in suburban and city streets, which is what most of America is composed of. How will the fatso's hide?

And the Second Amendment is not there for a standing militia to be in place, but because, at the time, England was at America's shores. It is currently very useless and unnecessary.
