God damn this record is good. Been a while since I heard recently released rap that I enjoyed this much. Listend to it 3 times at least yesterday.
MF Doom is the fucking man.

Sarcasm?
The music is tits and I really like Ghostface's style. One of the standout tracks is the reunionish track with other former Wu Tang members, notably GZA RZA and Ol' Dirty Bastard.
MF Doom is such a master of sampling. I could really listen to this shit all day.

It was a joke.
I actually have been interested in hearing more MF Doom because of his work on the recent Gorillaz album.

He's absurdly prolific, read up on him a bit...he self-produces most of his shit and releases tons of it digitally...he's a fountain of creativity. He's very present on the Ghostface album.

Yeah, I love all of their shit! My favorite is either The Gza or Method Man. Liquid Swords was a classic.

Liquid Swords was the first album that ever got me to enjoy rap. I still can remember that opening quote about the shogun sending his samurais to cut off her father's head quite clearly.

When I was little... my father was famous. He was the greatest sam-urai in the empire; and he was the Shogun's decapitator. He cut off the heads of a hundred and thirty-one lords. It was a bad time for the empire. The Shogun just stayed inside his castle -- and he never came out. People said his brain was infected by DEVILS. My father would come home -- he would forget about the killings. He wasn't scared of the Shogun, but the Shogun was scared of him. Maybe that was the problem. Then, one night... the Shogun sent his ninja spies to our house. They were supposed to kill my father... but they didn't.

I like how she says samurai. Sam-rai.
You know what movie that's from? I used to know, but I forget.

i'm not sure. all their names, and a lot of the topics of their earlier songs come from the Shaolin kung-fu movies (which in turn comes from ancient japanese history).
there's this movie, i think it is Master Killer, where the 36th chamber of the wu-tang gets invented (some new technique with a double bow) - sweet flick

Woah. I just read up..
I thought Doom produced this whole album but I think he just did 4 tracks. Anyway my favorite one is done by him so WHEW.
No this isn't the Duets album coming out from both of them.
