Your chance of success is pretty much nil. Grow yourself some fresh shrooms and take prints from those--at least a 50/50 chance of success. GL.

All sporeprints that you get from vendors are dried spores. If you are asking whether you could use spores from the bottom of a baggie from some from a friend, theoretically yes, but keep in mind that they have been exposed to the open air and most likely have contaminant spores mixed with them, and would need to be germinated on agar and isolated from the contaminants. But yes, dried spores rehydrate and germinate.

Then I would inoculate several PF jars and hope that at least one clean inoculation spot would germinate, then I would take a chunk of that inoculation point and transfer it to some peroxidated agar.
Then I would make liquid mycelium with a chunk of colonized agar or the origional mycelium and inoculate some jars with that, grow shrooms and make prints from those.
This is the best method if that's the route you choose, but I'd skip the PF jars and go straight to agar isolation. Personally, I'd check out the FSRC. $2 prints. No agar involved.
