Your thoughts are yours, but thoughts are not.
You may buy a package of rubber bands and make a knot with any two, three, four...of them, but the package was something given to you.
What is yours: the combinations that synthesize in your head, what is not: combinations and the currents of that thought.
Enjoy our thoughts, enjoy thought.

Nothing is COMPLETELY original. First we copied things from nature, and then we took ideas from different things and added them together, and did that several times until we had a wealth of information. So basically, any and every though you have is both yours and not yours at all. Or, just yours to some extent.

now THAT is a good observation.
Even if a person was somehow isolated completely from everything else, at birth, the person would be able in some way to observe the fact that he or she was unable to move. Of course, the idea of moving, or the idea of a world would not exist for this person. Still the thoughts that occured would follow from other thoughts that occured, and so on. No thought could be completely original if it is based on something that existed prior.
Or maybe both perspectives are valid depending on what you consider the limit of the definition of original thought.

first you must answer the question
what are you, your body, or merely the electricity that runs through your central nervous system?

Since the electricity is isolated along the conductive fiber of individual neurons, interrupted at every synapse by neurotransmitters, and because such electricity exists as a difference in the concentrations of charged ions between inside and outside the neuron's cell membrane, I conclude that the electricity that runs through my central nervous system is thoroughly dependent on the non-electrical matter in my body.
I am my body as it exists in the flow of time. I exist only at one point in time; my location in time moves in a linear fashion and at a constant rate.
