Monotub vs. Doubletub & Heating Method for Mono?

I've been weighing the mono vs. the doubletub teks for my first grow (eq , wbs, ???).
At first I was leaning toward the doubletub tek for the single reason of temperature control. Submersible heater, optional pump for circulation, all set for the warm-up. I was also planning on introducing an IceProbe into the doubletub because it gets a tad bit hot in the Northeast in the summer which would make initiating pinning a real bitch.
But after reading a number of threads, it seems the vets here prefer the monotub.
So how do you heat/cool a monotub?

Your thinking of a TiT (tub in tub) incubator not a double tub.
All the double or mono tubs are is just one large or two smaller tubs with holes stuffed with polyfil in the top and bottom for air exchange. Heating or cooling generally shouldn't be a big concern because they can handle temps as low as 65 - 80 (and likely higher) most room temps are in this range...If the room temp isn't in this range then your standard climate control works best. Furnace/air conditioning.

I think you have double tub confused with TIT.
A TIT is a tub in a tub, with water in the outer tub and a fish tank heater, used for incubation.
A double tub is two tubs stacked on top of eachother, with poly fill stuffed holes for air exchange. Similair to the mononub, just 2 tubs, hence the name. These are usually used with bulk substrates like Hpoo, and they require no heating.

Now I feel like a dope because I knew that. In my head I just think of a TiT as a "doubletub."
Having said that, how do the doubletub/monotub (not TiT) people initiate pinning?

They let nature do it so to speak.
I like monotubs, because it's mushroom growing at it's best, NO TAMPERING with it, period, kind of like neglect bulk growing,
