Occult Salvia Trip

I intended for several weeks to attempt an identification with/integration with a plant through Salvia Divinorum. During previous experiments with the Ska Pastora (Skeletal Shephardess Spirit?), I integrated with/identified with the object or living thing immediately behind me. I found a magickal text that really fired my imagination, so...
This evening, approx. 7:15 PM (duration approximately 30 minutes): Drank one bottle Hofbrau Munchen Maibock (undoubtedly one of the finest of the Doppel Bocks and quite tasty) while reading The Book of The Feathery Names in Silver Star e-zine. Immediately time-proximal to that, I vaporized and inhaled four pinches of Salvia Divinorum 10X concentrate. The plant right next to me was a hot pepper plant. The experience follows, verbatim:
1 Didn't even notice my body going numb 2 The sum of all visual, then conceptual, then memory comprehension fragmenting along geometrically-predetermined fracture lines 3 The blowing of a storm of some unknown sort kind of wind sweeping everything into long leaf-thick feathers 4 Starting visual, then penetrating into deep layers of Mind. 5 Just like always, my life shrinks/aparts into the best little one-frame animated comic 6 Aware of an enormous finger of consciousness, the meta-person among a race? 7 No a finger on an extremity on a pseudopoda of a larger, alien consc 8 In a great globe with windows that the meta-[po]ings edge up to, like barnacles, filter-feeding the physical world outside of the immense open room 9 an explosive inflation of the concept of time 10 Life {my} shrinks to the significance of a familiar comic book in a familiar room 11 My fate of interest but little relative importance 12 Do i exist at all as myself much at all? 13 Head and face numb, absence of add-on alien modifications/takes on thought 14 Concept of world blowing jagged-fragment like dry leaves 15 Large, boggle-eyed reality concepts personify like trolls they are 16 A thick, ropy strand of double-helix nature issuing out of a window that is a Scott Cunningham book 17 My numb mind conceives separate concepts of complex content group/massed suspended proximally, co-causing while exchanging mutual information mutually (each other with the One Big My Mind Belonging to Himself) 18 Like a closed bud my numb body-mind perceives through a narrow filter 19 I become the tightly-closed bud. 20 My inner companions' voices take on a much better humor, chiding while guiding 21 I turn into a perceiver/filter and leave below/behind all sorting/finishing/refining 22 I get a sense of great moment, of a life-changing scene tattooed like a microchip on the long timeline-filmstrip of my existence 23 My familiar place-mind exhibits an inhabited Matrix 24 Within the memories of the place, a foreign plant-mind perceives too much 25 It exists apart from me yet has attachment 26 I turn the frothy matrix of the plant hops, streaming and dancing with a 3D willow tree of life appearance, unto the alien presence pretending to native identity with this body 27 The hops in salvia space eat up/drive out the pestilential plague 28 and instantly it contains/entails less, exists/pervades less. 29 Sensation of slow, deep but temporary partition and patterning, penetrating all strata of sensible sensory and memory awareness. 30 Having a lasting effect with vast attempts to surcease bounds and limits, limitless space achieved 31 enemy presence detected 32 4warned=4armed
Notes: In section 26, I received a definite felt sense of waving vines of hops, blowing in the breeze, forming an independent entity with benevolent intent. Section 5 indicates the experience of all things coming into physical birth, in this case that of a pepper plant (the proximal plant at time of experiment) growing into a fruit-bearing organism Section 6, the plant's awareness of its caretakers Sections 7-12, the plant gains self-awareness and perceives/understands me, its constant supervisor, communicating its observations Sections 14 and 15, identification of the world of perceptions with the herb Salvia D. Sections 18 and 19, identification of my native residual body/mind image with that of the proximal plant Sections 22-28 residual effects of an old healing spell I cast towards the pepper plant: a malignant mold or fungus inhibits the pepper's growth Sections 29-30, personal identification of my quest for learning and evolution, specifically this magickal act, with proximal plant's life cycle.
I remember the felt sense of the Salvia not having enough potency, and not really worrying about the dosage. After everything I've read from McKenna, Peter Carroll, Leary, and Wilson about the virtues of heroic doses, I thought I'd better take more rather than less. The effects came on slowly at first, but I could definitely feel some complex maneuvers in the dark happening, way back in my medulla oblongata. Or something. On the fourth bowl I really tasted that bitter Salvia flavor, and I knew the trip was on. The soundtrack for this experience was "Singing Bowls of Shangri-la" in the room, and the daily assortment of tracks from Drone Zone in the next room. I could clearly hear birds singing outside my window during the entire experiment. Hope you enjoy this post and get something out of it.

up to line 13 there seems to be one consistent rider of the gathering waves of experiencing.
at which point (line 13) a minor alarm arises at the face becoming numb and consciousness forks and folds and the being is in more than one place at one time or more than one being. very normal (this forking of self/selves would happen even without any sense of alarm (at this dose or extent of persisting layers of impressions)).
up to line 13 the stacking of impressions creates an enriched ride for one rider, then the richness creates too many directions to remain one person (a single thinking agency).
after line 13 one rider becomes many, some still attempting to be one.
good notational work. enjoy

I particularly identify with these three.
20 My inner companions' voices take on a much better humor, chiding while guiding 21 I turn into a perceiver/filter and leave below/behind all sorting/finishing/refining 22 I get a sense of great moment, of a life-changing scene tattooed like a microchip on the long timeline-filmstrip of my existence
Its funny, just this morning i was thinking, 'where's that Harmonic_Order? isn't it about time he tells us another story?'
IME, Salvia is a metaphorical awakening, but one is just hitting the snooze until/unless mushrooms are brought into the picture. To get the most from the experience, try sitting around a fire outside at night.

Sorry if i struck a chord there You should make a plan to get Salvia into the woods at least once this summer, i'm sure she would be most grateful.

No no, I just tend to complain sometimes. You did no wrong. Yeah, Salvia in the woods... perhaps while camping! Mmmmm, camping. Wood smoke smell, flashing firelight, sand in my toes. I shall make it a point to do so.

Glad to hear it Beach fires are the best.
Do you think salvia is just a tool (a mirror) to let us look at ourselves in a new way and the magic is all within us, or do we really meet a spirit that shows us such similar visions, or both?

Typically I think the constant "have a sitter" admonitions on here are quite annoying. But in the case of salvia around a campfire, I feel the need to remind everyone to definitely have an attentive, sober sitter. Salvia tends to make certain points in 3d space magnetic and irresistable. I came out of one of my trips with a death grip on my buddy's arm and his windowsill, which, in salvia-space, were unrecognizable as real objects--they merely represented "the only way out of here!" I was shocked to 'come back' holding onto a person's arm. That kind of compulsion in the vicinity of white-hot embers could be a recipe for trouble.

or consciousness is both a stream and a self reflective flux that the universe can use us in. salvia can be a lubricant to this end.

Very good point. Stay several feet back and make sure there's space to fall backwards comfortably. Anyone new to the experience should do a few test sessions first in a very safe environment to get a feel for their reactions.
