Will this work?
    #5512603 - 04/13/06 03:01 PM (17 years, 9 months ago)

If i do a pf-tek style grow, but instead of using a million jars, use a bunch of microwavable bins will it work? I plan on doing the BRF and vermiculite and put it the bins and obviously sterilize with the microwave. Then just inoculate through the lid and let the mycelium grow. Once its done I don't know if i should take it out and case the top and bottom in another container, or just case the top in the same bin. Please help this will be my first grow. thanks

as long as the container is around 1/2 pint, it doesnt matter what shape it is, taking in consideration that it wont hinder 'birth'

ummm...it would work alright i would believe, but with such a mass of it, im sure you would have to have a good size filter on the lid for good gas exchange, or you would probably see really really slow growth/stalled bins? Im not an expert, but thats what it would seem like. But dont think thats gonna colonize in 20 days though. Depending on the size, it might take twice the time to do in optimal conditions...again guessing.
